In 2007, the AMCA created a separate, non-profit, tax-exempt educational foundation, now called the Antique Motorcycle Foundation. The mission of the AMF is to communicate to the public at large the important role that motorcycles have played in the evolution of technology and culture in the industrialized world. In addition, the Foundation seeks to inform people about the work being done by the AMCA, its chapters and its individual members in protecting and preserving antique motorcycles.

In pursuit of that mission, the AMF has created museum exhibits covering the development of the motorcycle from the late 19th century into the 1970s. The Foundation also has published a book featuring classic motorcycles owned by AMCA members that were a part of its inaugural exhibit, and it has supported outreach efforts by the AMCA.

In 2018 AMCA granted the rights for the AMF to take over the AMCA Virtual Library which is now housed on the AMF website under the title Vintage Motorcycle Library or VinMoLi for short.

Donations to the AMF can be made while joining or renewing your AMCA or download a donation form directly from the AMF website.

The Antique Motorcycle Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit Public Charity funded largely by contributions. For more information about the Foundation, please visit its website at www.amf.foundation.
