RESCHEDULED UNTIL JULY 21-23, 2021

Ride the Big Sky Road Run Postponed until 2021

To those AMCA members registered for our Road Run,

We are postponing our Road Run until July 21, 22, 23, 2021. COVID-19 has won and we surrender. We are very sad and disappointed that we are having to change our decision. Five days ago we were confident that we could still have a great 3 days of riding in Montana, with some fun stops along the way. After a meeting today with all our officers, board members and a majority of our Yellowstone Chapter members present, we have determined that we just can’t make it happen. We have spent several weeks trying to find replacement venues, ride routes and caterers, after our original ones had to cancel. Even today, right after this meeting, we received a call canceling our lunch stop for Wednesday. We went from being excited about our rides, to feeling like we were letting people down with the mediocre replacements we were able to find. On top of that, Montana has had a huge increase in positive cases. Because of that several counties have reverted back to Phase 1, and there has been talk that may still happen in Yellowstone County. We understand that many of you have been concerned about traveling during this uncertain time, and have requested refunds of your registration fees. We also know that many of you will be very disappointed in our decision, and we are sorry for that. We have already invested 3 years in planning this event, and we definitely never thought we would be faced with such a difficult choice. We are hoping that the majority of you will leave your registration as it is, and carry it over for next year.
